About the Program
The Master of Arts in Economics is a 2-year campus based
Program offered by the University. The MA - Economics Program is organized into 4 Semesters in two years. Candidates are required to complete 19 courses including core course, Discipline specific Elective and a Post Graduate Dissertation. Economics includes a comprehensive and thorough study of economics as a discipline at an advanced level. This post graduate degree course generally covers the study of principles of economics theory, micro & macro economics, comparative economic system, money and banking system, international economics, quantitative analytical method, application to specific industries and public policy issue etc.
Students of the degree program primarily learn how to use economic analysis tools needed to study issues and policies. They also develop strong research skill as well as analytical abilities through rigorous studies in economic theory.

Eligibility Criteria
Pass in Graduation in (any discipline) from a recognized University with aggregate marks 50% and above.

Program Structure
The MA in Economics Program Consists of 19 Courses and a Post Graduate Dissertation in fourth Semester spread over two years. The students are required to take 6 Discipline Elective course spread in 4 Semester, The actual choice of electives will however depend on the optimal number of students opting for the same electives.
