Three YearsEligibility :
Pass in 10+2 (any discipline) with aggregate marks 50% and above. Students who have studied Economics, Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level will have an added advantage. Final year 10+2 students awaiting results can also apply.Program Structure :
The BA English (Honours) program consists of 29 courses covered in six semesters spread over three years. The students are required to take 4 Honours electives during the sixth semester and a Dissertation. The actual choice of electives will however depend on the optimal number of students opting for the same elective. Two Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC) and 4 Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) are also the part of the curriculum. While AECC based upon the content that leads to knowledge enhancement, the SECs are value based and/ or skill based. In particular, SEC like Computer Application & Project is lab oriented practical paper and aimed at providing hands-on-training through latest application software essential, suitable and most relevant in modern research. Tailor made courses like North East Modern Literature and Eastern Himalayan Studies are very unique in this program and will be an added strength for the students of Bhutan, Nepal & North Eastern Himalayan Region of India. The admission modalities are with reference to the full time campus programs offered by the ICFAI University, Sikkim. The medium of instruction is English. All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria specified for the course and have studied in English medium in their qualifying examination are eligible to apply.
Final year students awaiting results can also apply. Their admission will be provisional, subject to qualifying in the final examination. The registration and admission of these applicants is liable to be cancelled in case they do not fulfill the eligibility criteria specified for admission to each program by September 15, 2018. In such cases, admission fee will be forfeited and only 50% of the semester fee will be refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University.
The selection of applicants into the UG/PG programs of the University is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria made through screening of the applications. Due weightage is given to academic distinction, honors and awards in sports, cultural events, extra-curricular activities viz debates, quizzes and adventure sports. All applicants meeting the selection criteria will be given a provisional admission subject to verification of the documents at the time of registration and payment of fees.
All applicants having received the provisional admissions are required to present themselves with Original academic/other certificates and residence proof/HRDD Govt of Sikkim allotment letters in case seeking fee concessions, for verification along with semester and other fees on the date of Registration. In addition, photocopies are also required to be submitted for retention in their record with the University. Original certificates will be returned after verification.
There shall be a special provision for admission of applicants belonging to the State of Sikkim in any course of the ICFAI University, Sikkim, which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) per cent of seats in each course/discipline subject to the applicants meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred below. Seats remaining unfilled under special reservation may be filled up by allotting the same to applicants belonging to Open Category. The Government Quota students will be given a fee concession of 50% on program fees. In addition to the Government quota, seats will be reserved with fee concession for applicants from the state of Sikkim, GTA area and the nearby North Bengal region as per the mandate of the University to serve the educational needs of the state of Sikkim and the nearby areas.
Late Admission Facility:
There is a limited window for applicants who miss the regular admission deadline due to reasons beyond control. Such applicants can directly come with admission documents with admission and semester fees as applicable to their program and seek admission as walk in applicants till August 10, 2018.
Commencement of Classes:
The classes for the Academic year 2018 will commence from July 25, 2018.
Award of Degree:
Students successfully completing the program are awarded degree in their respective discipline by the University, in accordance with the University rules.
Anti-ragging & Anti-sexual Harassment:
The ICFAI University provides a ragging free campus. The University follows the UGC guidelines and norms regarding the anti-ragging and anti-sexual harassment policies. The students are required to submit the duly signed affidavit for Anti-ragging at the time of admission to the University. Category.

Application Cum Enrolment Form
- Please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria before filling up the Application Form.
- Fill the Application Form in CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Please provide all available and correct information in appropriate sections.
- Make sure to sign the Application Form.
- Retain a photo copy of the Application Form along with documents stipulated.
- Demand Draft for Rs. 3000/Rs.5000 as applicable for the program applied for, towards admission fee drawn in favor of The ICFAI University, Sikkim-Fee Collection A/c payable at Gnagtok.
Attested Copies of Certificates
Applicants are required to submit self-attested copies of the following certificates at the time of registration with originals for verification:
- Birth Certificate / Class X Certificate
- Marksheets of Class XII / Degree Certificates (as may be applicable)
- Fees concession (if applicable) requisite documents to be attached.
- Nationality Certificate/Proof, for foreign students only
- Other certificates pertaining to academic and extra curricular activities.

The scanned application form and the Admission fee DD to be sent along with the courier consignment number to the email address given above in case sent through mail or courier.
Admission Fee: Admission Fee of Rs. 3,000 for B.A. (Hons.) in English, Program is to be paid by all the applicants along with the application. Admission fee of applicants, whose admission is not accepted will be refunded after completion of
Exam Fee: All the students need to pay an amount of Rs. 1,500 per semester for UG program towards Exam Fee along with the Program Fee.
Caution Deposit: All students are required to pay a Caution Deposit of Rs. 5,000 along with the First Semester Fee. The Caution Deposit will be refunded without interest and after adjusting for dues, if any, to the students on completion of the Program.
Program Fee: Students have to pay the fee at the beginning of each semester, as per the due dates which will be notified separately at the relevant time.
