The BHTM Program

The BHTM Program

The Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management program provides insight into the tourism and hospitality industry and prepares students for a career in this fast growing field. It gives them the necessary skills, knowledge and exposure to the management and organization involved in providing products and services in this industry.

Three(3) Years

Pass in 10+2 with aggregate 40% and above (any discipline)
Final year 10+2 students awaiting results can also apply.

Program Structure
The BHTM program consists of 31 courses covered in six semesters spread over three years. Students are additionally required to do two summer internships at the end of Year 1 and Year II respectively and an Internship in the 6th semester.
During 5th and 6th semester, students are exposed to elective courses in their respective field of specialization. The actual offering of electives will however, depend on optimal number of students opting for the same elective.

Advanced F&B Operations, Accommodation Management, Food Safety & Quality, Facility Planning, Geography of Tourism, Destination Marketing, Mgmt of Events, MICE Mgmt, Customer Relationship Mgmt, Supply Chain Mgmt.

Humanities Electives:
Beginning French, Beginning German.

Award of Degree
Successful students completing the program are awarded a degree in their respective discipline by the University, in accordance with the University rules.
